SCA students recognized at Cappies Awards Gala

June 19, 2013

Two Summit Christian Academy students were recently honored at the annual Cappies Awards Gala held at Grandview High School.

Summit Christian Academy’s Molly Williams and Jacob Hoke received the Cappies award for Best Ensemble in a Play for their role as “The Mimes” in “Comedy of Errors.”

SCA was nominated for 10 Cappies awards.

Cappies is a national program through which high school theater and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other area schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews in local newspapers. At the end of the year, the student critics vote for their favorites within each category and present the awards at a formal gala.
