Daughters of the Revolution seeking new membership in Lee’s Summit

June 21, 2013

Prairie Chapter, based in Lee’s Summit, is a local chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. It meets monthly, September through May, on the second Saturday of the month, for a luncheon, business meeting, and to hear guest speakers on various aspects of American patriotism, education and historic preservation.

Women are encouraged to apply for membership if you meet the criteria:

• You are a woman 18 years of age or older

• Interested in genealogy

• Believe that you are lineally descended from a patriot of the American Revolution who fought or gave aid to the American cause

• If you support education, patriotism, and historic preservation

• You want to make lifelong friends who share these same interests

Prairie chapter is always available to help with your research on genealogy for membership consideration. For more information please contact Lucille Lamb at prairieregistrar@kc.rr.com

Lee's Summit Journal is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
