Lee’s Summit is extending deadline for minor home repair applications

Lee’s Summit is extending its deadline to Aug. 16 to apply for minor home repair assistance.

The program is for low-to-moderate income homeowners who will get assistance through a grant funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Applications are available at the city’s website www.cityofls.net or at the Codes Administration Department in City Hall, 220 SE Green Street.

Only single-family, owner-occupied residential homes are eligible for repairs that include windows and doors, roofs, exterior paint, decks, porch and steps repair, exterior foundation walls, exterior walls and trim, flashing and guttering, and exterior private sanitary sewer repairs.

Eligibility is based on total household income and must be within the HUD guidelines. For more information contact Jessica Asher at (816) 969-1200.
