Richard R. “Dick” Wilson

Richard R. “Dick” Wilson, 71, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2013 after a battle with Alzheimer’s.

He was born on July 19, 1941 in Kansas City, Mo. Growing up he was a Boy Scout and football player graduating from Center High School in 1960. He continued playing football at CMSU and then started a life-long career in banking working throughout Kansas City, Independence and Lee’s Summit retiring from Community Bank of Raymore in January 2004. He was a member of the Banker’s Consumers Credit Association of KC for many years and served as President in 1985. He was a member of the Harrisonville United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Wilson.

He leaves his wife of 32 years, Donna M. Wilson, mother, Gladys A. Wilson; daughters, Kathryn Campbell, Kristy Sloan (David) and Karen Wilson; and four grandsons; Jake Wilson, Brennan and Blaire Campbell and Aiden Sloan; stepdaughter DuOnna Butts and step-grandchildren; Jeremy Chancellor, Nicole, Christy, Tracey, John IV and Debbie Butts and 15 step-great grandchildren which include; Savannah, Madison and Caleb Chancellor; Aunt, Luetta Cooper and many loving cousins and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on July 19 with Funeral Services at 1 p.m. on July 20 at Park Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
