Unity announces wellness center at Lee’s Summit campus

Awaken Whole Life Center, anchored by the historic Unity Tower, will celebrate its grand opening Sept. 14.

The state-of-the-art center will be a gathering place for people from all walks of life to come together and improve their overall health to obtain optimal wellness. Awaken Whole Life Center will be home to the Glenn H. Korff Fitness Center, as well as the functional medicine clinic with Angela Barnett, a physician with a fellowship in Integrative Medicine who specializes in Functional Medicine. Awaken Whole Life Center will also host a variety of body rejuvenating and intellectually stimulating retreats throughout the year. Those that visit will experience a restoration and a soothing of the body, mind and spirit.

Situated within Unity Village, Awaken Whole Life Center is a continuation of the work Unity’s founders, Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, started in 1929. The center will be located within the iconic Unity Village Tower and will represent the Village’s mission of renewal, healing and new life.
