Ernest Eugene Anderson

Ernest Eugene Anderson, age 95, died at his home in Leesburg, Fla., July 12, 2013.

He was a graduate of Lee’s Summit High School in 1936 and he lived in the Lee’s Summit area most of his life before retiring to Florida in 1983.

He is survived by his wife, Clara Louise Anderson of Leesburg, Fla.; his daughter, Judith George and son-in-law James George of Columbia, Md.; his granddaughter Stacy George of Woodinville, Wash.; his granddaughter, Kelly Farnham, grandson-in-law Jamie Farnham, and great-great granddaughter Beth Farnham, all of Vero Beach, Fla. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth DeLancey and sister-in-law Betty Anderson, both of Lee’s Summit, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Anderson was a veteran of World War II and served in the Army Air Corps.

A memorial service was held on July 20 in Leesburg, Fla. His ashes will be interred in the Lee’s Summit Cemetery.

Donations in his memory can be made to either Cornerstone Hospice of Tavares, Fla. or to the First Christian Church of Leesburg, Fla.
