David N. Hoyler

David N. Hoyler, 79, of Lee’s Summit, passed away July 24, 2013 at Lee’s Summit Medical Center. At his request, David will be cremated and will be offered unto the Lord in a private observance.

David was born June 21, 1934 in Buffalo, N.Y. He served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Japan and various other bases stateside. He was an accomplished musician and career court stenographer for the State of Missouri.

David loved music, especially jazz, playing old-movie trivia games with close friends and had a clever, quick sense of humor. He and his wife enjoyed many years of traveling together and seeing the great outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Dorothea (Wolf) Hoyler.

His family includes his beloved wife of 36 years, Mary Hoyler; two step-children, Tracy Cary and Michael Cary; daughter-in-law, Terri (Detwiler) Cary; three grandchildren, Devin Cassity, Krista Cassity and Michael Cary Jr., brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Ruth Hoyler of Rochester, N.Y; along with treasured extended family members.

We all love you very much Dave, and will miss you dearly.

Memorials may be given in Dave’s memory to The American Heart Association or to a charity of choice.
