August 7, 2013

Gage Greening of Lee’s Summit was recently awarded the A.L. Steplock Memorial Endowed Scholarship at the University of Arkansas.

Greening, a 2010 graduate of Lee’s Summit North High School, is entering his senior year at the University of Arkansas, majoring in biomedical engineering. He is also involved in the research assistant program, helping develop an imaging system that could improve the early detection of oral cancer.

Greening is also involved in the Arkansas Triathlon Club and is their current treasurer.

The A.L. Steplock Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established to encourage deserving students to pursue an education at the school.
