Journal welcomes new ad rep

August 9, 2013

For Meghan Brownfield, Lee’s Summit is a great reprieve from the smaller towns she’s lived and worked.

A former writer and advertising account executive at the Maryville Daily Forum, Brownfield has joined the Journal as an account executive and the 2012 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University couldn’t be more pleased.

“Just being at a city newspaper, really. A bigger city,” Brownfield said of her excitement about joining the Journal before adding her immediate goal is simple. “Getting to know everybody and finding my way around Lee’s Summit without getting lost.”

Brownfield, a Claremont native, majored in journalism and advertising at Northwest Missouri. Claremont is a town of 90 people near the Iowa border.

“We’re excited to bring on Meghan to the Journal team,” Publisher John Beaudoin said. “With previous newspaper experience and a lot of energy, I’m thrilled she is joining our team that includes two sales reps with many years of knowledge selling in Lee’s Summit.”

Lee's Summit Journal is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news.
