Gamber Center PartyPalooza

Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation is hosting “PartyPalooza” to celebrate the Gamber Center’s 5th Birthday on Aug. 24. The event will take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and is free to the public. The event will include free activities and entertainment for all ages. For the younger guests there will be bounce houses, face painters, balloon artists and Mr. Reed’s Summer Drama Camp performing scenes from the Little Mermaid. There will also be skateboarding demos from 12-5 p.m.

For everyone else, Blue Grass musicians, Ron & Arrena Raymer will perform from 10-10:45 a.m., free chair massages will be offered from 1-3 p.m., favorite show tunes performed by the Summit Theatre Group at 1:30 p.m. and other demonstrations including mini fitness classes and mountain dulcimer. A personal trainer will be onsite from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. to assist those wanting to learn more about the fitness center and its equipment. The billiards room will be open for play and the Wii’s will also be available. In addition, free hot dogs will be served from 11a.m.-2 p.m. (while supplies last).
