Corporate and community sponsorships of Evening Under the Stars – 2012 helped raise more than $150,000 for the purchase of the dental coach. All proceeds raised through this event will go to support the TMC Lakewood mobile dental program that benefits the students of the Independence School District. This mobile dental program delivers dental services to elementary age children. Since its inception in 2011, the school dental program has provided screenings and preventive services to more than 4000 elementary students in the Independence School District. All of these services have been provided with portable equipment utilizing any space the schools can make temporarily available. The new dental coach allows TMC dentists to provide a more extensive range of services in a private setting parked on site at elementary schools.
The 2013 event sponsorships will fund expansion of the program and its annual operating costs.
