August 26, 2013

A Lee’s Summit man faces two felonies in connection with a sex case in which a Lee’s Summit police officer posed undercover as a 13-year-old girl.

The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office announced Aug. 24 that Brian E. Lucy, 54, of Lee’s Summit, faces one count of attempted enticement of a child and another count of sexual misconduct involving a child.

According to court records, a witness alerted police that a man had inquired in an online discussion about having sex with her 13-year-old daughter. A police officer then posed as the girl and engaged online in a sexual discussion with Lucy, then arranged to meet him at a park, where he was taken into custody.

Prosecutors requested a $100,000 bond on Lucy.
