Physical-education teachers participate in Starting New At Golf training

August 28, 2013

Lee’s Summit R-7 School District elementary physical education teachers participated in Starting New At Golf training during early August thanks to a PEAK (Promote Excellence And Knowledge) Grant from the Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation.

During the training, staff learned about the different types of SNAG equipment and received hands-on training. This training included practice at stations for putting, chipping, pitching and launching.

The following schools will use the SNAG golf equipment this year as a result of receiving a PEAK grant with more schools to follow: Underwood, Richardson, Meadow Lane, Lee’s Summit Elementary, Hazel Grove and Mason Elementary.

Lee's Summit Journal is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news.
