Historical Society meeting

September 4, 2013

The Lee’s Summit Historical Society invites the public to hear its latest news on proposed exhibits and themes considered as part of a move into the WPA Post Office.

The Works Progress Administration building at 220 SW Main St. served as Lee’s Summit City Hall for many years and will be renovated by the city as part of a 2013 bond issue voters approved in April for use as a community museum.

The meeting is 10 a.m. to noon Sept 7. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1625 NW O’Brien Road. For more information contact Kathy Smith, president of Lee’s Summit Historical Society at 816- 363-9718 or email derbyshirelane@prodigy.
