Babysitter Boot Camp and Kids First Aid coming up this month through Lee’s Summit Parks & Recreation

Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation is offering two classes to prepare children for emergencies and the ins and outs of babysitting. The Babysitter Boot Camp for kids ages 10 and up will be from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sept. 14 Participants will learn age appropriate play strategies, games and crafts, chow preparation, how to manage lights out, personal and child safety, first aid and CPR and more!

Kids First Aid for children ages 7-12 will prepare kids to get help quickly and handle first aid emergencies like burns, bleeding, sprains, facial injuries and illness. Activities and games will provide emergency skill development and emphasize accident prevention. This class will be held from 6-7 p.m. Sept. 26 and is $10 per child when registered by Sept.10 and $11 after that.

Both classes require preregistration and are being held at Harris Park Community Center located at 110 SW Blue Parkway in Lee’s Summit. To register online go to lsparks.net or call 816-969-1500.
