Jackson County Farm bureau celebrates 100 years

Jackson County Farm Bureau celebrated its 100th anniversary at their annual meeting, with a reception at 6:30 p.m Sept. 19 at the Gamber Center, 4 SE Independence Avenue. The county farm bureau was one of thirteen counties formed before the organizational meeting of the Missouri Farm Bureau held in 1915. Jackson County Farm Bureau has maintained their membership consistently through the years. Today, Jackson County is the largest county farm bureau of the 115 counties in the State of Missouri with a membership 4,860. Jackson County Farm Bureau provides high school and college students with scholarships.
