Hicks makes Second Lieutenant in Mo. National Guard

Benjamin Hicks, son of Michael and Vicki Hicks, of Lee’s Summit, was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Missouri National Guard.

The commissioning ceremony, Sept. 7, was held in the Missouri Capitol Rotunda. Lt. Hicks will be serving as a Platoon Leader with the 1-138th Infantry. He formerly served as a Navy Corpsman with the 1st Marine Division, and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also serves as a Specialist/Paramedic with the Lee’s Summit Fire Department.
