Kelly Clark Thompson

Kelly Clark Thompson, age 55, formerly of Lee’s Summit passed away Sept. 12, 2013, at his home in Kansas City.

Kelly was born April 22, 1958 in Emporia, Kan. He grew up in Lee’s Summit where he was a graduate of the class of 1976, and where he lived most of his life. He was previously employed with Quality Wood Products as a cabinet maker for 25 years. He was an avid racing fan, Kansas City Chiefs fan, and loved the outdoors and hunting. He was proud of his trophy buck whose antlers scored 161 5/8, which was a record in the Boone and Crocket Club in 1998.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Clark Thompson and Marilyn Maurine Miller Thompson. He is survived by his daughter, Kali Shea Nicole Thompson, Belton; his sister, Kimberly K. Thompson Bullard and husband, Howard of Osceola, Mo.; his companion, Debbie Sayne and daughter, Nickie Edmunds (Georgia); and many Miller and Thompson aunts, uncles and cousins.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

After cremation, a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sept. 29, 2013 at Langford Funeral Home. His ashes will later be buried in the Delavan, Kan. cemetery next to his Mother.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Langsford Funeral Home for Kelly’s funeral expenses.
