Lee’s Summit West swung past its cross-town rivals in the City Championship match Oct. 2 at Fred Arbanas Golf Course.

The Titans had a team score of 184 to lead Lee’s Summit North with 210 and Lee’s Summit with 219.

Lee’s Summit West was led by medalist Mason Fender with a score of 39.

“Mason was her usual outstanding self,” Lee’s Summit West head coach Richard Myers said. “Emily (Doak) played up to her potential today. She has been working hard to get better. The other girls chipped in with decent scores, good enough to win the match.”

Doak had a score of 44, followed by Madi Smythia with 49, Vivian Bishop with 52, Nikki Ehlinger with 54 and Courtney Rosencrants with 56.

The Broncos were led by Lindsey Graham with a score of 43.

“Lindsey played the best she's played all year today and I'm hoping that she will continue to play at this level for our district golf tournament at Drumm Farm Monday,” Lee’s Summit North head coach Amy Merritt said. “It's been a real growing year for most of the girls playing at the varsity level this year so I'm hoping that Monday will be another good experience in preparing them for next season.”

Other Lee’s Summit North scores include Jenna Coon with 52, Madison Couts with 54, Brianna Combs with 57, Betsy Bartle with 58 and Amy Hunt with 60.

The Tigers were led by Skylar Brunk with 46, followed by Kaitlyn Granger with 54, Madi Cook with 57, Hannah Crone with 70 and Madison Perry with 92.

Lee’s Summit West will compete in districts starting at 9 a.m. Oct. 8 at Hoots Hollow Golf Course, Pleasant Hill. Both Lee’s Summit and Lee’s Summit North compete in districts at 8 a.m. Oct. 7 at Drumm Farm Golf Course, Independence.
