Ralph and Rosemary Rhea, co-producers of the television and radio program "The Word" will give a program featuring their 1973 television spots for a Fellowship Dinner at the Unity on the Plaza. The public is invited. "The Word" is broadcast over 500 radio stations and 180 television stations. Well-known personalities that have donated their time for inspirational spots are Steve Allen Ernest Borgnine, Pearl Bailey, Jim Nabors, Anne Francis, Edward Asner and others. Ralph Rhea has served as a writer, lecturer and Unity minister for many years. Rosemary Filmore Rhea is the granddaughter of the founder of the Unity movement, Charles and Myrtle Filmore.

Patricia Jackson and Richard Huskey plan to be married. The couple and 1972 graduates of Lee’s Summit High School. She is employed as a secretary in the R-7 School District and he is employed by Diamond Electric. The wedding will be at the First Christian Church in Lee’s Summit.

The Lee’s Summit High School Cross-Country team won the conference meet. Members of the team are Mike Routh, Alan Housley, Dan West, Rick Dennison, John Sievers, Rick Peniston and Brad Hawthorne. Russ Childress is the coach.
