Lee’s Summit North was shut out by Blue Springs South in a Suburban Big Six conference contest Oct. 18 at Blue Springs South.
The Jaguars scored a touchdown in each of the four quarters to win the game.
Matt Brumfield completed four of 12 passes for 37 yards. Josh Caldwell caught two passes for 34 yards.
Caldwell also had 18 carries for 73 yards and Brumfield had 15 carries for 50 yards.
Kellen Shockley had seven total tackles and one sack. Matt Hoover had six tackles, one sack and one interception. Caldwell and Chase Overton had five tackles each.
The Broncos, 2-6, host Raymore-Peculiar at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 in the last conference match-up of the season.
Lee's Summit West 56, Ruskin 0
Lee’s Summit West blew past Suburban Middle Six opponents Ruskin in the game Oct. 18 at Lee’s Summit West.
The Titans scored five touchdowns in the first quarter alone, the first off a 75-yard kickoff return by DeMarcus Edwards.
Edwards scored again a few minutes later with a 61-yard touchdown. With just over six minutes left, Andrew Palmer ran in a 17-yard touchdown and with two minutes left, Monte Harrison returned a 50-yard punt for a touchdown.
Finally, with just a few seconds left, Logan Cheadle scored on a 29-yard run to put Lee’s Summit West ahead 35-0.
In the second quarter, the Titans kept scoring, first on a 52-yard run by Andrew Palmer then a 30-yard run by Thomas Palmer.
The final touchdown of the night was in the third quarter on a 2-yard run by Thomas Palmer.
Thomas Ganaden completed one of three passes for 13 yards. Harrison caught the pass.
Andrew Palmer had 115 yards on three carries and Edwards had two carries for 77 yards. Thomas Palmer had six carries for 68 yards and Rassano James-Smith had 37 yards on six carries.
Austin Workman had four tackles. Bailey Leon, Grayson Handle and Garrett Newsom all had three tackles. Deion Whitney and Tyler Boehm had two tackles, one for loss, each. Blake Cochran also had two tackles.
The Titans, 7-1, travel to Truman to face the Patriots in a conference clash at 7 p.m. Oct. 25.
Drexel 60, Summit Christian Academy 0
Summit Christian Academy was shut down by Drexel in a non-conference bout Oct. 18 at Drexel.
The Bobcats scored five touchdowns in the first quarter, one in the second, two more touchdowns in the third quarter and one in the fourth to seal the victory.
The Eagles, 2-6, host Butler in a Crossroads Conference contest at 1 p.m. Oct. 26.
