Summit Christian Academy recently welcomed seven students from Disciples International Christian School in South Korea.

Paul Kim, principal at DICS, escorted the students on a tour of Christian schools throughout the United States and included SCA as a destination point during their tour.

“SCA is excited about the partnership that is developing between our school and DICS,” said International Program Director Kathy Tharp.

DICS teaches students in grades K-8 by focusing and preparing them to attend high schools in America. The majority of the classes at DICS are taught in English and the school uses the Bob Jones educational curriculum.

“Our students have been so warmly received at SCA,” said Kim. “The international program at SCA has been instrumental in helping them navigate life and learning away from home.”

Esther Her and James Park, who came to SCA through DICS are enjoying the transition into the SCA school community and are excited about completing high school here.

“I am pleased with my decision to come to SCA. The students here are very warm, and that makes the difference,” said Esther Her.
