It took only one quarter for Lee’s Summit West to jump to a stellar advantage in the district semifinal game Nov. 6 against Belton.

The Titans took that 34-0 lead to a 56-0 victory at their home stadium.

Lee’s Summit West scored five touchdowns in the first quarter alone, starting with a 31-yard run by DeMarcus Edwards. The next score came on a 65-yard touchdown pass from Thomas Ganaden to Monte Harrison, followed by a 68-yard punt return by Harrison.

Ganaden connected with Harrison again next for a 29-yard touchdown pass and Edwards ran in an 18-yard touchdown to end the quarter.

In the second quarter, Andrew Palmer scored on a 7-yard run, Thomas Palmer scored on a 10-yard run and Andrew Palmer ran in a 1-yard touchdown to give the Titans a 56-0 lead at halftime.

The Titans, 9-1, host Williard in the district championship game at 7 p.m. Nov. 11.
