The Missouri Department of Conservation stocked trout Nov. 7 at James A. Reed Memorial Wildlife Area, just outside Lee’s Summit. Anglers can keep trout they catch, if they have a trout permit. The fish are in Coot and Plover lakes and for ages 15 and younger in Honker pond. The area will be closed Nov. 12-15 and 18-22 for all activity except managed deer hunting. About 2,000 trout, including some lunkers, were stocked at Reed, and additional trout will be added in February and March, said Bob Mattucks, fisheries management biologist.
