Thank you for saving my daughter’s life

November 27, 2013

Dear Editor,

This is a letter of heartfelt “Thank You” to a unknown man who was at Dairy Queen in Lee’s Summit Nov. 6 around noon and saved my daughter’s life. She was eating a chicken sandwich and knew she was choking. She went to the counter and made the Universal distress sign for choking. The woman at the counter asked her if she was choking? She nodded “yes.” A customer in line then got behind her and did the Heimlich Maneuver. Out popped the chicken. She was so upset by it all, she feels she did not get to thank him enough for doing what he did. He literally saved her life. We just wanted to tell someone what a good and appreciated deed he performed. We hope somehow he will read this letter.

Mary Hale,
