LSHS among America’s best

December 4, 2013

Lee’s Summit High School was recently selected for recognition in Newsweek magazine’s annual America’s Best High Schools feature.

The magazine selects the top 2,000 public high schools in the nation each fall, and LSHS was one of just 23 Missouri high schools receiving the honor this year.

A total of six high schools in the Kansas City metropolitan area were ranked among the 2013 America’s Best High Schools, according to Newsweek.

The selection is based on components such as graduation rate, college acceptance rate, Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate/career education scores and enrollment, and average SAT or ACT scores.
