Isaiah Lind earns Eagle Scout award

December 4, 2013

Isaiah Lind, son of Jay and Cortni Lind, was recently awarded the rank of Eagle Scout.

Lind is a senior at Summit Christian Academy.

In order to earn the rank of Eagle Scout, a Boy Scout must first complete years of work and countless projects. When applying for Eagle Scout status, the Scout must demonstrate leadership by planning and completing a major project aimed at benefiting others. Isaiah designed a project that would benefit the SCA athletic department.

“It is exciting to see one of our students recognize and desire to fill a need at SCA,” said SCA Athletic Director Jake Kates.

Isaiah’s Eagle project was to pour a discus and shot put ring near the soccer/football field. He consulted with Eagle Scout and current SCA Board Advisor Brian Merrell on the placement of the ring.

“The discus and shot put ring is great for our track and field students,” said Kates.
