BCMS students decorate windows for business partner

December 11, 2013

Students from Bernard Campbell Middle School started spreading holiday cheer early this year by painting windows at the local McDonald’s restaurant, paired with the school through Lee’s Summit R-7 Partners In Education. On Nov. 18, a total of 18 BCMS students decorated the restaurant’s windows with students submitting proposals of their design ideas. The students worked in small groups to create art that incorporated the holidays as well as McDonald’s characters. From the student proposals, art teachers chose three designs to become window murals. This project was a partnership between business partners and the BCMS Art Department.
