Quentin A. Burgin

Quentin A. Burgin, 20, Greenwood, passed away Nov. 29, 2013. A memorial service will be held Dec. 14, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church, 2400 SE 50 Hwy, Lee’s Summit, at 2 p.m. The family will receive guests following the service. Quentin was born Nov. 8, 1993 in Blue Springs to Barth and Cynthia Burgin. Quentin attended Greenwood Elementary, Summit Lakes Middle School and Lee’s Summit West High School. He graduated from Lincoln Academy Home School. Quentin had a love for animals, bringing home many strays throughout the years. He was also known as everyone’s personal I.T. assistant as he loved taking equipment apart and putting it back together. Quentin also had a love for water whether it be swimming in a pool, jet-skiing at the Lake of the Ozarks, or hanging out on the beaches in California. He lived in California for a short time and hoped to live there full-time someday. Quentin was known to his family and friends as having a smile and personality that could brighten anyone’s day. Quentin was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Burgin. Survivors include his parents Barth and Cynthia Burgin of Greenwood; sister Lauran Burgin of Columbia; grandparents Robert and Carolyn Glenn of Lecompton, Kan.; Bob and Carol Smith of Columbia; Carolyn Burgin of Lake St. Louis, Mo; aunts and uncles include Tracy Glenn of Eudora, Kan.; Randy and Myrna Hartford of Lawrence, Kan.; Bendi Burgin of Stanberry, Mo.; Dennis and Bonita Fitzmaurice of Columbia; and 17 cousins.
