Shop with a cop

December 13, 2013

Gregory Burbanks, a fourth-grade student at Meadow Lane Elementary School, walks the aisles of Walmart in Lee’s Summit with first-year Lee’s Summit Police Officer Jeff Short during the Lee’s Summit Police Officer’s Association’s 27th annual Shop With a Cop event Dec. 12. Gregory was able to buy gifts for his mother and siblings and said: “It feels really good. I think they are going to be really happy with the gifts I got them. I think (police officers) are really nice because they take their time to do this.”
