SCA speech and debate’s policy team stands strong

December 18, 2013

Summit Christian Academy’s policy team for the school’s speech and debate team, freshmen Corbin Healy and Abram Bagunu, recently took first place in the Truman High School Speech and Debate Tournament.

The team defeated other metro-area high school teams for an impressive win. More than 60 schools were represented at the tournament.

“Corbin and Abram make such a great team. They competed well and were very polished in their arguments and presentation of the facts,” said SCA speech and debate teacher and coach Anne Mussatti. “I am very proud of these two young men.”

This is the first year that SCA’s team has competed in policy debate. Their efforts so far this season have been met with success, as they also won first place in the Oak Park High School debate tournament.
