Pedestrian hit near Starbucks lot

Lee’s Summit Police talk to the driver of a car after she allegedly hit a pedestrian Dec. 16 near the intersection of Missouri 291 and Third Street. The sister of the man who was hit told police she was on the phone with the victim when he was struck by the car. The man was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence with minor injuries while the woman provided a written statement to police. No citations were given on the scene.
