Unity World Headquarters announces leadership changes

December 27, 2013

Unity World Headquarters recently announced changes in board leadership beginning in Feb. 2014.

Rev. Pat Williamson will become board chair. Rev. Patricia Bass will be vice chair.

Williamson, the senior minister of Unity Christ Church in Golden Valley, Minn. has been a board member since 2009. He served as board chair for Unity Worldwide Ministries (formerly known as the Association of Unity Churches International) in 2006-2007. He is also affiliated with the International Conference of Police Chaplains and has served congregations in Kansas City, Mo; Evanston, Ill.; and Cincinnati, Ohio.

Bass was elected to the board in 2012. She served as senior minister of Unity Church of Overland Park in Overland Park, Kan. from 2004 through her retirement in September. Rev. Bass previously served as senior associate minister at Unity Church of Christianity in Houston, Texas.

“I am honored to have been elected to this position,” Williamson said in a statement. “The Unity message has certainly transformed my life, and during my 20 years of church ministry, I have seen these teachings transform hundreds of others. Our principles are timeless, and yet we must constantly look for new ways to present these principles to every generation. This is my opportunity to give back.”
