December 31, 2013

Lee’s Summit West High School students and staff members recently completed a community-service project for Hope House. Through the leadership of the school’s Student Activity Advisory Council, LSWHS collected toys for Hope House’s holiday store for children and parents living in the facility. In addition, the school donated $645 in Wal-Mart gift cards. One teacher – Annette Helton – made a blanket for each child living in Hope House with the child’s first name embroidered on the blanket. Toys and gift cards were delivered Dec. 10.
