R-7 Special Services Department host Snowball Dance

December 31, 2013 

The Lee’s Summit R-7 School District Special Services Department recently hosted the annual Snowball Dance, designed for current high-school students in special-needs programs. A number of graduates from school district special-needs program also return for this popular event, held at Lee's Summit High School. Teachers in the district’s life skills program are responsible for planning and coordinating the Snowball Dance with Lee’s Summit High School teacher Kelly Twenter leading the team. LSHS Student Senate members also volunteer to help at the winter dance.
