Betty Anne McKnought

Betty Anne McKnought died at Westridge Gardens Nursing Home, two days after her 83rd birthday, on Dec. 20, 2013. She is preceded in death by Mickey F. McKnought. There are so many things you can say about Betty’s life. Betty was the founder of One Good Meal, dedicated to feeding the elderly and homebound in Lee’s Summit. At some point in time she was also active in Boy and Girl Scouts, Cousins Furniture, and the United Methodist Church. She leaves behind her son, Bruce McKnought and his wife, Pam, three grandchildren, Sarah and her husband Matt McFarland, Patrtick and Daniel, and one great granddaughter, Eleanor, all of St. Louis, Mo., as well as her daughter, Roberta McArthur and her husband Jim, one granddaughter, Celia and her husband Rob Jones and her great granddaughter, Ruth Anne, all of Lee’s Summit.

Services for Betty will be held at Langsford Funeral Home on Jan. 4, 2014. Visitation will begin at noon with a memorial service at 1 p.m. and a wake at the Martin Luther Lutheran following. Betty requested that there be no flowers, instead she asked for donations to be made to her charity- One Good Meal.
