LSWHS named to Hospitality 100 for 2013-2014

January 15, 2014

Lee’s Summit West High School has been named to the Hospitality 100 list of secondary school culinary programs in the United States for the 2013-2014 school year.

Each year, the Hospitality 100 list recognizes those secondary schools that have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in culinary arts education. The elite group of schools exhibits strong hospitality enrollment and influence in their community.

The Hospitality 100 list is comprised of high schools and tech centers that excel in the areas of culinary arts, baking and pastry arts and/or hospitality management. Some are competition winners from Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), ProStart and SkillsUSA within a particular region.

A team from the acclaimed National Center for Hospitality Studies at Sullivan University oversees the selection process for the Hospitality 100 list. The National Center for Hospitality Studies is one of the leading culinary arts, professional catering, baking and pastry arts, hotel/restaurant management, and hospitality management programs in the country.

Every year, graduates from the National Center for Hospitality Studies pursue successful careers in virtually every corner of the globe and every aspect of the hospitality industry. Sullivan University has campuses in both Louisville and Lexington, KY.
