Henry "Bill" William Nagel, Jr.

Henry “Bill” William Nagel, Jr., 90, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Jan. 12, 2014 at the Village House at John Knox Village.

Bill was born March 6, 1923, in Kansas City, Kan. to Henry, Sr. and Ebba Nagel. He served in the US Army Air Corps and was a long time member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church. Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Nagel; his parents; two sisters, Frances and Gertrude and a son in-law Charles Barr. Survivors include daughter, Carol Barr; grandchildren, Chris (Kristel) Barr; grandaughter, Stacy (Matt) Motsick; four great grandchildren, Madison and Austin Barr and Emily and Acton Motsick. The family request memorial contributions be made to Village House at John Knox Village or Martin Luther Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Jan 17 at the Porter Funeral Home 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS. 66215. Visitation will be held 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Jan. 17, at the funeral home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Kan.
