Boys robotics team advanced to Lego League championship

A Lee’s Summit boys robotics team advanced to the Greater Kansas City First Lego League (FLL) Robotics Championships, and took home the Robot Award – Mechanical Design, at a qualifying tournament at Bingham Middle School in Independence Dec. 7th.

The team is one of ten that advanced to the FLL Championships after qualifying at the preliminary competition in Independence.

The regional championships, one of the largest in the Midwest, were held Jan. 18th at Union Station, with 41 teams competing.
