TLC Family Dentistry offering free services to children

January 22, 2014

The dental office of Mark Hartter and Jamie Thurman, TLC Family Dentistry, is participating in the American Dental Association’s “Give Kids a Smile Day.”

On Feb. 7 the two dentists, dental assistants, dental hygienist and office managers will provide free, desperately needed dental services to local children of under-served families.

The clinic, at 3568 SW Market St., Lee’s Summit, is booking appointments with expectation of seeing 25 children between 8 a.m. and noon. Anyone interested should call 816-537-6161 soon, as appointments in past years filled quickly.

The event is part of the American Dental Association’s program that has its 12th anniversary in 2014. Last year, more than 44,800 dental team members nationwide participated. TLC Family Dentistry has participated every year, and before that program began, volunteered in a local “Doctors with a Heart” program, which served adults and children.
