January 29, 2014

Our Lady of the Presentation is celebrating National Catholic Schools Week which began Jan. 26 and runs through Feb. 1.

National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs throughout the week. Schools typically observe National Catholic Schools Week with Masses, open house and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members.

At Presentation they began the week with Mass, continued Jan. 27 with a “Manic Monday” celebration that included a pajama and pancakes theme followed Jan. 28 by a “Teamwork Tuesday” service day. Teacher Appreciation day is today (Jan. 29), which will be followed by a family appreciation night Jan. 30 titled “Throwback Thursday.”

The week will conclude with “Fun Day Friday,” an all-school pep assembly.

KC Wolf will be in attendance and Presentation’s Teacher of the Year will be announced with a $1,000 prize included.
