Carl L. Foresee

Carl L. Foresee, 68, of Lee’s Summit, died Jan. 31, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital-Plaza in Kansas City, Mo. Funeral services were February 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Chipman Road Church of Christ in Lee’s Summit, with Rev. Bill Goring and Rev. Bill Briley officiating. Burial was in the Slater City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Franklin, Larry Linville, John Delzell, Craig Wilson, Rodney Soper and Meredith Soper. Memorials are suggested to the Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born July 12, 1945 in Mulberry, Ark., he was the son of the late Carl “Mack” and Mildred Cotter Foresee. On May 24, 1969 in Slater, he married Cherie Soper, and she survives of the home.

Also surviving is a son, Chad Foresee of Lee’s Summit; a daughter, Carla Wilson of Chatham, Ill.; and a granddaughter, Ainslie Wilson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carrie Jane Foresee. Mr. Foresee was a member of the Chipman Road Church of Christ. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1968 and from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. He was a Junior High Science teacher and coach at Slater Public Schools, and later at the Grain Valley School System and the Grant City School System. He worked for over 30 years as an insurance salesman.
