Blue Springs’ Kinder set to retire

Paul Kinder, superintendent of the Blue Springs R-4 School District, announced his

retirement Feb. 11, effective at the end of the 2013-14 school year.

The Blue Springs school district has three schools with addresses in Lee’s Summit; Delta Woods Middle and Chapel Lakes and Voy Spears Elementary schools.

Kinder is in his 14th year as superintendent of schools in Blue Springs. He has more than 37 years in the education field, including 27 in the BSSD.

Kinder was named Outstanding Superintendent of the Year by the Missouri Association of School Administrators in 2007. He has served as the president of the Missouri Association of School Administrators, president of the Board of Directors of the Missouri High School Activities Association, president of the Greater Kansas City Cooperating School Districts and president of the Suburban Conference.
