Lee’s Summit’s Ayers part of the crew for “Kindertransport”

March 19, 2014

A University of Central Missouri faculty member from Lee’s Summit, Daniel Ayers, was part of the crew of “Kindertransport.”

UCM’s Department of Theatre and Dance presented the production Feb. 19-23 in Highlander Theatre.

Ayers was the production manager for the production. He is a 2001 graduate of Oak Park High School.

“Kindertransport” tells three concurrent stories of a family affected by the Holocaust, the subsequent ‘kindertransport’ (children’s transport) of young Jewish children to the United Kingdom to spare them sentences to Nazi death camps, and the kindness and new beginnings that are found in their new homes.
