Creativity Abounds In Lee’s Summit

March 21, 2014

Creativity Abounds!, An Art Exhibit featuring Lee’s Summit area artists is a one day, free to the public, event on March 29 at The Stanley Historic Event Space, downtown Lee’s Summit. The free Exhibit runs from 2-8 p.m. and features paintings by Rashelle Stutts who uses color as a metaphor for memories and emotions, poignant photography by Erin Miles Brown, exquisite wood furniture by Jay Helland, playful fabric art and quilts by Michelle Diane Brown, and enduring fine wood boxes by David Clark. Art will be for sale with a portion of the proceeds and cash donations going to Adopting a Wish through the Make a Wish Foundation. The recipient of the wish is Christian Secchio, a 17 year old Lee’s Summit resident who wishes to go to Europe. Live music by Erik Karlsson and Brian Ruskin will occur throughout.

Lee's Summit Journal is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
