A great leader

March 26, 2014

Dear Editor,

The characteristics of a leader include vision, discernment, an ability to inspire, intuition, commitment, confidence, the ability to communicate, the ability to delegate and a positive attitude. In addition to these traits, what makes a great leader is a sense of corporate social responsibility and the ability to encourage and inspire employees to participate in giving back to the community as part of their job. I have the privilege to be a friend of and work alongside with one of these great leaders – Diane Seif.

Seif is committed to her business success as well as helping others to succeed in their businesses. Her sense of community can be seen in the many committees and boards in which she takes part. We have worked together on the Lee’s Summit 360 strategic plan and the Human Services Advisory Board. She is also chair of the Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation and is a member of the Lee’s Summit EDC Advisory Board.

Diane is involved in many other aspects of the community. Her positive and enthusiastic personality inspires others to become involved. She works with the leaders in this community and in the region to ensure that our community is a place where people love to live, work, and play – where they feel safe and feel like they too can make a difference in their community.

I am honored and proud to have Diane Seif as a friend. Vote on April 8 for Diane Seif, a great leader.
