Janet Marie Stoughton Howe
Janet Marie Stoughton Howe passed away March 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at Truman Medical Center-Lakewood of acute respiratory failure.
Janet was born April 11, 1943 in King City, Calif. Janet married Daniel Howe in 1961; they were married for 22 years. She was a beloved mother and grandmother who worked hard all her life. She served as a Shoney’s waitress for many years. Everyone who knew Janet would say that she was a beautiful woman inside and out. She filled a room with smiles, laughter and a spirit of generosity. Through thick and thin her family was the most important.
She enjoyed having family gatherings and being surrounded by loved ones. She will truly be missed. Until we meet again, Kiss Kiss.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles Lee & Dorothy Mae Stoughton.
Survivors include siblings: Carol Breschini of Soledad, Calif., Mel Stoughton of Greenfield, Calif.,; Debbie Arbrun of Greenfield, Calif.; and Art Stoughton of Las Vegas, Nevada. Children: Kimberly & (Bill) Whaley of Billings, Mo.; Kathryn & (Roger) Umbarger of Blue Springs; Daniel & (Michelle) Howe Jr. of Raytown; and Shannon & (Heath) Hadley, of Lee’s Summit, along with 13 Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren.
A celebration of life services will be held in honor of Janet’s memory on Saturday, April 12th, 11 a.m. at Crown Point Church 5950 NE Lakewood Way, Lee’s Summit, Mo. 64064.
