New McDonald’s coming to Lee’s Summit

March 28, 2014

The fast-growing Longview neighborhood community in Lee’s Summit will soon welcome a new McDonald’s.

The new fast food restaurant at 3275 S.W. Third St. will open its doors for the first time at 10:30 a.m. March 31. There are also plans for a grand opening celebration April 3.

A month-long celebration includes specials parties and giveaways.

The new McDonald’s, with the restaurant’s latest modern designs, is expected to become an important part of the community in Lee’s Summit serving as a gathering spot, family restaurant and local landmark.

Longtime Lee’s Summit resident and retired teacher Patti Powelson and her husband have owned McDonald’s restaurants in Lee’s Summit for 25 years.

The new restaurant design include: a modern exterior, large dining area, updated drive-thru, a digital menu board, free Wi-Fi, plasma TVs, and electrical outlets available throughout the restaurant for easy laptop usage. The restaurant also features games for kids of all ages.
