Lisa Detig named 2014-15 principal of Richardson Elementary School

Lisa Detig was named 2014-15 principal of Richardson Elementary School by the Lee’s Summit R-7 Board of Education at a March 27 meeting. Detig is currently serving as assistant principal at Prairie View Elementary and Richardson Elementary.

She will begin her new job next summer and is replacing Kelly Seitz, who is retiring in June.

Before coming to the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District in 2013, Detig served as an elementary assistant principal in Republic, Mo.; as a fourth-grade teacher in Branson; and as a first- and fourth-grade teacher in Pleasant Hope, Mo. She has worked in education since 1998.

A Greenwood resident, Detig earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Southwest Baptist University, her master’s degree in education from Southwest Baptist University and her master’s degree in educational administration from Lindenwood University.
