Student from Lee’s Summit named to Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges

Zachary Phillips, of Lee’s Summit, is one of 55 Washburn University students named to the 2014 edition of Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges, having been selected as national outstanding campus leaders.

The students were honored during an awards reception on the Washburn campus.

Phillips is a senior and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in computer information science. He is president of Alpha Delta fraternity, a member of Mortar Board national honor society, and is involved with Greek Council and Interfraternity Council. He has been named to the dean’s honor roll, is the recipient of the Cole Scholarship awarded by the department if computer information sciences and is a Garvey Scholar.

Phillips volunteer work includes serve with Washburn’s Big Event and Alpha Delta’s American Diabetes Association Philanthropy Week.

Students are selected for inclusion in Who’s Who based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
